Bunk Beds = More Room

Today we decided to bunk the girls beds...it is wonderful so far. It gives them more space to play and they both think it is pretty cool...We will see how long that lasts! : ) Have a great day!

Just catching up...

Can you believe it is March already?!? Derek and I are quickly coming up on our 9th wedding anniversary. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised...I recently found out our flower girl is DRIVING now and our ring bearer turned into a teenager this past fall. Where does the time go? All the more reason for me to attempt to hang onto every second with our girls. The pictures I am sharing today are totally random but thought I would just put them all into one slide show rather than a bunch of different ones. My friend Michelle is having a baby soon so I made a cake for our little get together a week or so ago. It turned out pretty cute! Then there are a couple of pictures of the girls in the kitchen floor COVERED with stickers. Not sure if all kids like stickers or if mine are just crazy about them but they LOVE stickers. Nana got Paige 6,000 stickers :) for her birthday. They have fun with them and because there are so many, they share them really well...now I do find them everywhere...kitchen floor, couch, clothes, I even have one that is stuck to the inside of my dryer...must be a strong sticker to survive the wash and still stick!!! Then there are some "photoshoot" pics of the girls. They got the cute outfits for Christmas and I have been waiting for a day to take pics, well of course rain moved in so the photo shoot moved in as well, but I think they are super cute! Next...Paige got her ears pierced!! She has been talking about it for a couple of weeks because her friend Elizabeth got them done. I really didn't think she would go through with it but she did...only cried for a minute and then she was hot to trot...after we got home and she looked at them in the mirror several times she told us that "I have my ears pierced, now I am ready for High School!!" I guess this goes right along with her thinking that 4 is officially big...She is for sure a girly girl and I must say I love it. I just have a big job of teaching her how to be a Godly girly girl...Chloe has no interest in getting hers done just yet! Last but not least...Lyla sound asleep in her daddy's arms...guess it is rough being a baby! Any way I am sure that is enough rambling from me for now! Luv ya'll!

Chloe & Lyla

While Paige was at school this morning I took a little time to video Chloe and Lyla. We borrowed a jumperoo from a friend (thanks Neeli) and tried it out for the first time today with Lyla...she as you can see in the video, got a kick out of it. Then not to be out done Chloe wanted some camera time as well. She is singing Jesus Loves me and Twinkle Little Star...hard to hear her...not sure why as that is USUALLY not the case. We are constantly telling her to be quiet! She was singing through a clinched smile so I guess that is why she wasn't very loud. We hope you are all doing well. Lyla is getting so big now!! Time flies! Love to all!! Pause the music on the right hand side of the blog to be able to hear the video when you play it!

Gymnastics Day

Paige had her gymnastics meet on Saturday! It was so much fun and she had a blast. She did really well...I think she really likes gymnastics. They showed everyone what they were learning and got a medal at the end. The absolute cutest part was when she came running up to me and said, "Look, it is like the water boy,"...a few seconds later I realized she meant Michael Phelps...she had her very own gold medal. If that doesn't make your heart smile, not sure what will!! Enjoy the pics!

V-Day and more!!!

I have somehow managed to find a little time this afternoon to catch you all up on what has been happening around the Spicer house lately. I guess it could be because we are currently in "naptime" zone at the house. Speaking of I have to tell you something funny...Paige is now 4 and has for a few months really not needed a daily nap. She is good for a nap every couple of days. So, even though I didn't want to give up total naptime here I have started allowing her to take a "rest" instead of a nap. She gets a couple of books, her soft blanket and lays on the couch until the timer goes off. She is happy and I still get a little quiet time in the afternoons since the other two girls are asleep. The funniest part of this is she almost always falls asleep on the couch. Oh well, it works for me!

OK, on to what I really sat down to share! This past weekend we had a great time celebrating V-Day. It started early on Thursday night...Derek called home on his way home and invited Paige to go on her very first date. Our local pottery place was having a daddy date night so Derek asked Paige if she wanted to go to eat and then to paint pottery. I really wish Derek could have been on this end of the phone...she was THRILLED! Chloe...not so much. She doesn't like to be left out so we had special mommy time which was nice too. The sweetest thing was Paige getting ready. She got dressed up and then put on her jewelry and then had to get out the body spray and lipgloss. That is what she is doing in the pic...spraying body spray on the bottom of her shoes...hey if that is where she wants to smell good...let her! : ) She was all dolled up. They ended up painting me the sweetest little jewelry box...and Paige did it all by herself. It meant so much to me for Derek to do this...we are going to try to make this a tradition. How else will they know exactly how they should be treated some FAR AWAY DAY?!?

Paige had her V-day party at school on Friday and it was wild, crazy and fun all at the same time. Derek and I celebrated Valentine's Day in with a special dinner after the kids were in bed...it was nice.

The next big thing I have going starts this Sunday...I am joining a Women Run Arkansas running clinic. Hey seems like the most proper thing to do since my last big thing was to learn to decorate cakes! I am so excited about this...we meet during the week and are training for a 5K in May. I would consider that to be quite and accomplishment. There is no desire here to start a marathon circut but a 5K sounds like a blast. Say a prayer for me that I will be able to balance everything and get to enjoy a little time to take care of myself! Thanks for the encouraging words in advance!
Well, I think that gets us mostly caught up...hope this little note finds you doing well. Thanks for reading!!

Paige's Pinkalicious Party

Saturday we had Paige's Pinkalicious Party! She has wanted this party since the first time we read the book. What's not to love, Pink, Cupcakes and a little girl who LOVES both! We had a fabulous time and the weather was just as good. We played out back and jumped in the jump house. We even had a quick game of pin the cherry on the cupcake! Thanks to all who came! It was a blast!

Final Cake Class

This week I had two cake classes due to the ice from last week. Tonight we finished learning the rose and a few other little things. I kind of cheated and used the same cake from Tuesday tonight but it really worked out perfect. The cake with only little pink flowers was from Tuesday, then tonight I added the roses on top and all of the leaves. It was a great class and a lot of fun. We will see if I can put my skills to good use on Saturday for Paige's cake...more pictures to come! Enjoy!
